Writer, speaker, teacher, blogger … Follower of the Risen Lord, Lover of one man, Momma to a beautiful daughter. Basically, just a girl who longs to encourage lives where the sacred and secular collide.

I echo the words of the psalmist whose one desire was to “dwell in the house of the Lord forever” {Psalm 27:4}.  My constant prayer is that my heart would beat for the heart of God, that His grace and love and compassion would pour out of my life as He has so abundantly poured those gifts into mine. But that desire doesn’t come easy.  My flesh battles hard with the Spirit.

As a homemaker, wife, momma, and writer, that battle often plays out in our  home … sharp words, selfish actions, and thoughtless deeds.   Not the overflow I desire.  And I have learned that, like all battles in our lives, this war is best fought in the quiet moments of prayer and pouring over the Word.Arming myself for the day ahead, I curl up in my favorite chair with a cup of coffee and His Word, the nourishment for my soul, and I share my heart – the struggles and fears, successes and joys – and listen for His direction.

Welcome, friends, fellow mommas, to this small corner of my world … I’m glad you are here!  Together, we’ll learn to parent from the overflow of God’s work in us.
